HART and CSW
HART’s beginnings are inevitably tied to the organisation of Christian Solidarity Worldwide (CSW) as Baroness Caroline Cox, the founder and CEO of HART was previously the president of CSW-UK and both organisations share common principles and vision.
Although CSW solely operates in terms of combating Christian persecution and violations of religious freedom, whilst seeking religious liberty for all, HART responds to ‘persecution’ and ‘oppression’ in a broader and more relative way.
Both hold ‘advocacy’, ‘authenticity’ and ‘accountability’ as essential in becoming a
"voice for the voiceless" with both HART and CSW prioritising relationships with local partners and their needs and requirements.
Baroness Cox formed HART with a desire to include ‘aid’ as well as ‘advocacy’ in its primary remit.
