Remember

HART seeks to promote lasting change through aid and advocacy for those suffering oppression and persecution, who are largely neglected by the international media.

Almost fifty years of constant civil war in South Sudan has left this nation as little more than dust. Children did not learn to read or write, but learnt to run from helicopter gunships, fire AK 47s and tell whether a plane would drop food or bombs. They now desperately need education in order to know how to rebuild their nation.

Vodafone have now promised to sponsor Naomi Pendle (Wellington College) to work for HART for a year at Marol Academy (South Sudan). With Baroness Cox's help, the project was amongst the winners from 1,000 entrants in Vodafone's 'World of Difference' competition.

She will spend the year teaching and teacher training in South Sudan, and trying to raise all types of support. Marol Academy still remains in need of so much help. Please contact HART for more information or see Vodafone’s website: www.vodafone.co.uk/worldofdifference
