Doh Say and his team take life-saving medical supplies to Karenni and Karen people
HART’s partner Doh Say and his team regularly cross the border from Thailand into Burma to take life-saving medicine and provide basic healthcare within some of the areas of Burma that are experiencing on-going conflict. He mainly works within the Karenni state and gives care to Karenni and Karen people who travel across the state border to see his team.
The courageous work of these cross-border mobile medical teams who risk their lives to take medical care to the civilians who have had to flee their villages under attack by Burmese soldiers with their shoot-to-kill policies. These displaced people and remote villagers live in tough conditions, in the jungle, scavenging for food and without access to medical care.
HART supports Doh Say by funding the medicines he takes across the border to treat patients and also his equipment such as backpacks for his mobile clinics.
