Dr. SaSa is an inspirational doctor from a remote village in Chin State, Burma. He is the founder of Health and Hope, a community-based organisation whose mission is to run programmes that put primary health care, education, hope and community development into the hands of villagers in and around Chin State.
Since 2009, 681 Community Health Workers (CHWs) have been chosen and trained and now serve a population of over 150,000 people in the most rural parts of Chin State. Working in 399 partner villages these CHWs are now able to make a considerable contribution to saving lives of people who might previously have died from preventable and treatable diseases.
Dr. SaSa will be sharing the progress and challenges faced by the team as they serve their community in western Burma and there will be an opportunity to provide support for the work during the event.
This is a free event, but we ask that you register here.
