HART Prize for Human Rights: Exhibition & Prize Giving
Monday 19th March 2018 , 19:00
The Swiss Church in London 79 Endell Street London WC2H 9DY
This event will showcase work from the HART Prize for Human Rights, which attracts many diverse entries from across the UK and the world. We will be exhibiting a selection of the most striking, thought-provoking pieces, including paintings, collages, films, poems and short stories. The exhibition will also include photographs and information from our partners around the world, providing an intimate insight into human rights issues; particularly those which are missed in the mainstream media.
The exhibition will offer new, creative perspectives on human rights in Burma, India, Nagorno-Karabakh, Nigeria, South Sudan, Sudan, Timor-Leste and Uganda, and will celebrate the work, passion and commitment of young people.
Baroness Cox, Founder and CEO of HART is the judge of the essay competition. Our guest creative judge Camilla Forest is the founder of Passion for Freedom, a charity that promotes human rights and freedom of expression through the arts, and provides support to victims of human rights abuses.
Our judges will give short presentations and announce the winners of each category.
Refreshments will be provided.
This event is free, though we welcome donations to enable this competition to run in future years.
It is essential that you register attendance, please book early to avoid disappointment:
