Burma Army shelling, killing and torture of civilians in Mong Pawn constitute war crimes | Update by the Shan Human Rights Foundation, September 28, 2015

On September 12, 2015, about 100 Burmese government troops attacked Nawng Pa Deb village in Mong Pawn township, southern Shan State. They fired shells indiscriminately into the village, injuring four men and two women; one of the men later died from his wounds....

Both are separated into Junior (13-17) and Senior (18-25) categories. House of Lords Oral Question on the Upcoming Burmese Elections | 15/09/15

Yesterday, Baroness Cox asked a Supplementary Question in the House of Lords, highlighting the ongoing fighting in Kachin and northern Shan States in Burma and asking the Her Majesty’s Government what actions they are taking to support the National Ceasefire Agreement and electoral process in these two states:
Baroness Cox (Cross Bench Peer): While recognising the enormous significance of these elections, is the noble Baroness aware that I recently visited the Thai-Burma border and Shan state, where I met refugees from Kachin and Shan states, where fighting with the Burmese army continues, displacing tens of thousands of civilians?
