SWAN Campaigning for Equal Access to Education

HART’s partner SWAN (Shan Women’s Action Network) is campaigning to commemorate 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence. They are urging the Government of Myanmar to address violence against women in education in Shan State and other ethnic areas, to take greater measures in promoting equal educational opportunities for young women and girls and to take steps towards achieving equality through the elimination of sexist materials and learning frameworks....

Baroness Cox stands up for faith and freedom on #RedWednesday

Celebrating 10 Year Partnership with PAORINHER

In October 2017, HART visited northern Uganda to celebrate a successful 10 year partnership with local organisation PAORINHER (Patongo Orphans Infants Health Rehabilitation Centre). In 2005, HART received a desperate request by a young Ugandan from the Acholi Tribe for help as his community had suffered frequent attacks by the Lord’s Resistant Army (LRA)....

Raymond’s Challenge

Raymond, chairman of the PAORINHER Centre, accompanied HART to Uganda in October to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the centre opening. Instead of simply celebrating, he decided to undertake a mighty challenge in hopes of raising £10,000, running and cycling from Gulu to the centre in Patongo (90km) in 24 hours....
