Uniting HART’s Partners to Introduce Rehabilitative Healthcare to Burma

In April, HART united three of its partners to discuss how rehabilitative healthcare for people with disabilities can be introduced to communities in Burma. Dr. Sasa’s team from Health and Hope (Chin State) and Community Health Workers from Shan Women’s Action Network (Shan State) were given preliminary training by Vardan Tadevosyan from the Lady Cox Rehabilitation Centre in Nagorno-Karabakh....

Celebrating 20 Years of SWAN

On the recent visit to Burma, the HART team’s first stop was in Taunggyi, the capital of Shan State, to celebrate with the SWAN team on their 20th Anniversary. Dam innovation to change life for students at Loi Tai Leng

In October 2017, cross-border aid was cut in order to be redirected to the Rohingya suffering persecution in Western Myanmar. This resulted in a severe food shortage and the closure of two dormitories at schools along the border. Mwe, who is responsible for all 6 schools for displaced children along the border, explained to the HART team on their recent visit that the soil around Loi Tai Leng School is infertile and therefore unable to provide adequate farming opportunities and food....
