Solid walls and weatherproof roofs can make education possible.
In South Sudan, the rainy seasons, poor infrastructure and the instability caused by the ongoing violence all contribute to difficult conditions for teaching and learning. Many schools are without buildings and have to operate under large trees, making learning difficult in wet weather.
HART supports a number of schools in South Sudan, such as the Nyieth School in Warrup State, where we have assisted them in constructing and roofing classrooms.
This gift is equivalent to covering the cost of buying 200 locally-made bricks to help build classrooms, store rooms and offices for teachers in Warrup State, South Sudan.
This gift supports HART’s partners via the general fund. Find out more here.
