Nutrition Packs for a child living with HIV
This gift is equivalent to providing a month's supply of food supplements to one child living with HIV in Northern Uganda.
The Patongo Orphan Infants’ Health Rehabilitation Centre (PAORINHER) is HART’s partner in Northern Uganda, delivering medical care, counselling and drug monitoring to children and families in an area where 11 percent of the population is living with HIV.
This specialist paediatric health centre also provides regular ‘nutrition packs’ for 250 children in the local area living with HIV. These dietary supplements help caregivers provide enough protein to help their children’s bodies grow – critical to the health and well-being any child, especially those with compromised immune systems.
This gift is equivalent to providing one child with a month of food supplements.
