Burma
- The Tatmadaw  released 55 children and young people as a result of coordinated efforts with the United Nations to implement the 2012 Joint Action Plan to end and prevent the use and recruitment of children by the army, the UN Body said in a statement.
India
- A Dalit couple was allegedly assaulted by some land owners when they refused to do manual labour in their sugarcane fields in Pipalhera village in Muzaffarnagar
- Gujarat Information Commission has asked the state government to release its inquiry report on the killing of three Dalit youths in police firing at Thangadh in Surendranagar district in 2012.
Nigeria
- The Non-violent Peace Initiative (NPI) has said it documented over 3000 missing women and girls in the North-east since the upsurge of Boko Haram insurgency.
- The police have recorded success in the fight against human trafficking and child abduction as 15 suspects were arrested in different operations in Delta and Ebonyi states.
South Sudan
- South Sudanese government forces have acquired two jet fighters and truckloads of small arms ammunition and were seeking to manufacture bullets,
- South Sudan’s political opposition has dismissed remarks by US officials urging former First Vice President Riek Machar not to return to South Sudan to reclaim his position, saying the opposition leader’s absence is hampering the fragile peace process.
Sudan
- A number of human rights groups signed on Thursday a letter to the UNHRC with concerns of mass abuses in Sudan.
- The Sudan Consortium has been working with a group of trusted local Sudanese partners who have been monitoring human rights violations committed against the civilian population in Southern Kordofan and Blue Nile since the current conflict began in 2011
