Bring hope to forgotten conflicts

Humanitarian Aid Relief Trust (HART) has released a Crisis Warning for the displaced population of Yabus in Blue Nile State, Sudan.
Without rapid intervention, thousands of critically-ill patients will become stranded by heavy rainfall. Flooding will damage crops and transport routes, driving-up food prices and stretching already-limited resources.
The nearest hospital, located across the border in South Sudan, will be extremely difficult to reach during the rainy season. Treatable illnesses will likely become fatal.
Across the whole of Blue Nile State, an area roughly twice the size of Wales, we have no more than ten active medical professionals.
HART’s Crisis Warning highlights five urgent concerns:
1. No humanitarian access
2. No food
3. No shelter
4. No hospital
5. No outside help
Lord Alton, HART Patron and Chair of the Joint Committee on Human Rights, is urging the UK Government to take decisive action. Click here to read his urgent parliamentary question.
HART is partnering with local and international aid agencies to provide emergency relief. We are confident our joint efforts will save lives. But we are also realistic: the scale of the crisis requires a much larger humanitarian response. Click here to read the Crisis Warning in full.
