Bring hope to forgotten conflicts
El Fasher, the capital of North Darfur in Sudan, is under siege. Humanitarian conditions are deteriorating, as tensions between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) rise. An estimated 260,000 civilians, including 130,000 children, are at risk.
In accordance with international humanitarian law, measures must be taken to safeguard civilian life. As a matter of urgency, Humanitarian Aid Relief Trust (HART) appeals for urgent humanitarian access to enable life-saving assistance for vulnerable groups. We also call for safe evacuation routes for civilians at risk.
The cries of civilians in El Fasher are falling on deaf ears in the international community. Decisive action by the international community is needed to prevent further devastation and civilian loss of life.
Sudan is in freefall. Never has a crisis so big received so little international attention.
