Supporter Appeal for Emergency Relief: Dungob Alei Massacre

3 June 2021

On May 16th 2021, the residents of Dungob-Alei village (5km north of Abyei) were brutally attacked by Sudanese militiamen. 12 people were killed and 7 others were severely wounded. Those that survived the attack fled for safety with only the clothes on their back. The ongoing insecurity and threat of attack means that people are unable to cultivate and children are now suffering the most from a lack of basic food. Therefore, we are seeking to raise emergency funding to provide common grain, beans, rice, oil and salt for the survivors.

If you are able to support our appeal, please go to https://www.hart-uk.org/donate/ and quote ‘Abyei relief’. No donation is too small.

Thank you in advance for your support.
